Quieter and less developed than KL/Penang — an island-life base, not a bustling hub. Named coworking: Jetpack Langkawi (near Cenang Beach, from RM40/day, coliving on-site, owner-run, DE Rantau discounts for longer stays); plus a business-oriented space in Kuah. Malaysia has excellent national fibre (100–500 Mbps); island speeds are more modest (reviews cite lower averages). Mobile: Maxis (best), Celcom/Digi, U Mobile; cheap tourist SIMs. Cafe-work near Cenang. Grab is the default transport app.
